Evan was born and raised in the beautiful city of Victoria, British Columbia and has attended the University of Victoria for his undergraduate degree. In his time at UVic, he worked with Dr. Fraser Hof on the design and synthesis of supramolecular scaffolds and bio-active small molecules. He spent his whole life on the island and decided to move to the big city of Montreal to pursue his Ph.D. in Chemistry at McGill University. With a passion for organic synthesis, his project involves the development and application of methodologies for hydrazone chemistry. In his free time, Evan enjoys activities such as biking, hiking, tennis, volleyball, and squash. He has cooking and photography as hobbies as well.
