Santina Fortugno

Santina Fortugno is an aspiring chemist from Montreal, Canada, currently completing the final year of her undergraduate degree in Bio-Organic Chemistry. She began her research journey in the Legaré Lab at McGill University, where she focused on the synthesis of catalysts and the study of hypervalent iodine chemistry. Following this, she completed an internship in the Bohle Lab in collaboration with NOA Therapeutics, contributing to the development of bio-inorganic drug compounds aimed at treating skin diseases. Most recently, Santina joined the Li Lab, where she is working on the synthesis and development of hydrazone compounds. Outside of her studies, Santina enjoys dancing and painting, which are activities that reflect her creativity and focus.
